POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer specializing in contract packing and private labels. The successful incumbent will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships in the contract packing and private label sectors.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KPIs

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive offerings.
  • Analyse industry data to develop strategies for targeting and penetrating contract packing and private label markets.
  • Identify and engage potential clients, presenting our contract packing and private label services.
  • Lead negotiations with clients to secure favorable terms for both parties.
  • Close deals and ensure all contractual obligations are clearly defined and understood.
  • Collaborate with marketing, production, and quality assurance teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.
  • Provide insights to improve product offerings based on client feedback and market trend.
  • Attending industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build relationships and stay abreast of industry developments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling and customized proposals for contract packing and private label projects.
  • Ensure proposals align with client needs, industry trends and company capabilities.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in business development with a focus on contract packing and private labels in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Understanding of contract packing, private label manufacturing, and related industry trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create persuasive proposals and articulate complex concepts.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a proven track record of successfully securing business contracts.
