Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation Standards:

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, demonstrating precision in portioning, chopping, and proper food storage.
  • Execute the preparation and cooking of food in alignment with recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and the food preparation checklist.
  • Maintain consistent adherence to food production standards.
  • Manage stock levels effectively at line stations to ensure a seamless service period.
  • Portion food items before cooking, following standard sizes and recipe specifications.

Guest Satisfaction and Profitability:

  • Verify and maintain the accuracy of appliance and food temperatures.
  • Exercise control over food stock and manage costs within the assigned section.
  • Uphold the highest standards and ensure consistent quality in daily preparation, staying updated with new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
  • Collaborate with other sections to minimize wastage and control costs.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions.

Health, Safety, and Sanitation:

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security; promptly report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Comply with safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area, covering tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat-top range, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Adhere to quality expectations and standards.
  • Maintain a hygienic work area at all times, following established standards.
  • Properly close the kitchen and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations.

Social Media & Marketing Involvement:

  • Actively participate in promoting company brands within the digital and marketing spheres.


  • Culinary degree or relevant certification.
  • Proven experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
