About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Strategy to join our Corporate Executive team in Dubai. The job purpose of the Director of Strategy is to design and lead the implementation of the Group’s corporate strategy and strategic project management framework, ensuring that the strategy is clearly articulated, execution is continuously monitored, and strategic projects are properly managed thus fostering strategic alignment and efficient change management. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, re-evaluate, and refresh Group strategy, and translate it into short-, medium- and long-term objectives, with buy-in from relevant stakeholders. 
  • Ensure that strategy and objectives are clearly articulated and communicated. 
  • Identify and develop strategic initiatives required to achieve objectives. 
  • Support the cascading of Group objectives into Business unit and Department objectives.
  • Support business unit management teams in developing their respective strategy and objectives in alignment with Group strategy as required Strategy Execution – PMO and change management. 
  • Day-to-day operation of a Programme Management Office (PMO) that facilitates visibility and prioritization of strategic projects, ensures they follow robust project management processes, and tracks and reports on progress.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that appropriate change management tools are applied to enable adequate buy-in and successful implementation of strategic projects Business Planning. 
  • Provide analysis and insight based on research to support strategic decisions Innovation. 
  • Monitor marketplace, competitors, and information providers to identify important upcoming trends that can have an impact on Jumeirah Ad hoc strategic projects assigned to Jumeirah. 
  • Financial and Industry KPI Benchmarking against peers and competitors, both regional and leader Strategic Research and Market Intelligence 
  • Execute on special projects assigned by the VP Strategy of GCEO.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a reputable University.
  • 10 years + of experience in a leading management consulting firm.
  • 3 years minimum held in a strategic Director role, ideally within the luxury hospitality industry or in a blue-chip organisation.
  • Solid experience in project management, especially in a PMO setting.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and influence.


  • Master’s degree in a relevant field from a reputable University.
  • MBA from a reputable Business School.
