Job Responsibilities

  • Develop a procurement business plan; establish, communicate, and implement short, medium and long-term goals for the department in order to promote effectiveness and efficiency that results in cost savings without compromising on the quality.
  • Continue the roll out of Ariba solutions that adds value and efficiency to the organization
  • Create, implement and maintain a strategic vision for the purchasing function, ensuring that policies, processes, and procedures are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs
  • Manage and enhance current procurement policies, procedures and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency; meet regularly with respective departments regarding procurement for their understanding and/or recommendations to enhance policies, procedures and develop, communicate and implement new/revised policies, procedures and programs as needed
  • Develop and implement procurement-related training programs for the procurement team and organization
  • Oversee supplier contract development and administration processes for all entities across the global network
  • Develop strategies that provide quality supply, world-class technologies, and the best long-term total cost
  • Establish and maintain measurable performance metrics for all levels of procurement activities to include but not limited to supplier performance, supplier quality, internal order placement performance, buyer activity levels and material shortage elimination
  • Develop and implement procurement-related training programs for the procurement team and organization

Job Requirements (Experience and education)

  • MBA or master’s degree in procurement and supply
  • 10+ years of experience in multinational organizations
  • Proven understanding of procurement-related economic and financial analyses
  • Solid analytical and computer skills
  • Experience with Ariba and implementation of its solutions (e-sourcing, contract management, )
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Result-oriented, metrics-driven leader with solid experience in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development and compliance
