The Commercial & Engagement Division is responsible for driving strategic engagement programs and initiatives that support Expo City Dubai’s objectives, delivering commercial, educational, and social value. These initiatives include attracting relevant and significant local and international entities to set up their headquarters within Expo City; developing programs that contribute to the transfer of knowledge and exchange of experiences; enhancing the City’s positioning as a hub of excellence and a centre for innovation, education and sustainability; developing strategic partnerships; and integrating businesses, SMEs, educational entities, students, and innovators as part of a cohesive ecosystem

Opportunity Responsibilities

The Manager – Business Development’s responsibilities include developing key growth strategies for the development, execute on tenanting strategies, manage broker relationships. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve company financial targets. Duties will also include achieving annual targets, building relationships, inputting on investor documents, providing reports and understanding customer trends.

The main responsibilities for this role include:

  • Support and achieve annual tenanting targets within Expo City Dubai
  • Support in the development of the strategic plan to achieve tenanting targets and expand client base
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships with local and global client database
  • Meet with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations, events and exhibits
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends, support in the preparation of reports regarding these trends for senior management on a quarterly basis
  • Ensure tenanting are in line with master development planning and guidelines
  • Highlight to management any market shift that will impact that the Business Strategy
  • Support the management to ensure that the assets being leased has the correct information, the leasable assets are segmented accordingly, and phasing is adhered to
  • Ensure that all software related to the real estate including the CRM system as it relates to built asset is up to date
  • Keep track of all information related to document control, KYC, and agreements
  • Support business development strategies from a thorough understanding of both current and potential business licensing clients, ensuring a focus on commercial value and long-term strategy
  • Support activation of approved business development strategy for business licensing to generate consistent streams of business leads
  • Support technology strategy to design and deliver online streamlined services and client portal for all business licensing services offered to business licensing clients
  • Formulate and execute strategic sales/Leasing strategies aligned with company objectives, encompassing the identification of fresh business prospects and market trends
  • Cultivate and sustain robust connections with prospective and existing clients, comprehending their requirements and tailoring solutions to meet their needs
  • Supervise and monitor the sales process from lead inception to finalization, guaranteeing seamless communication and timely follow-ups
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to remain abreast of industry trends, pricing dynamics, and rival activities, leveraging this intelligence to shape effective sales approaches
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to devise compelling sales collateral, promotional materials, and digital marketing campaigns
  • Compile and present periodic sales reports, encompassing revenue projections, sales metrics, and market evaluations, to the executive team
  • Remain informed about legal and regulatory mandates pertaining to real estate transactions, always ensuring steadfast compliance
  • Any other duties as required.

Management Responsibilities

  • Attend kick-off meetings for new real estate acquisitions, major renovation projects and project moves


6+ years of experience, In well-known Real estate organization (Commercial and Retail) as well as:

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, or business administration
  • Proven Track of specialty leasing
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Quality and detail orientation
  • Organized with excellent time management skills, Good intrapersonal skills and Team player.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong computer skills, Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce, YARDI, Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Ability to interface with employees at all levels.
  • Diplomacy and Discretion.
  • Ability to work under pressure and able to independently complete complex tasks.
  • Proficient in continuously learning new knowledge and improving professional skills.
  • Experience of Commercial and Retail leasing within Dubai, UAE with understanding of real estate laws, Knowledge of Real Estate Legislation, Laws and Regulations, industry practices and governing laws within Dubai, UAE
  • Fluent Arabic written and spoken
