Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and assist them with their inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Process over-the-counter medication sales accurately and efficiently, adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications, including labeling and packaging medications as needed.
  • Maintain inventory levels of over-the-counter medications, supplements, and health products, and restock shelves as needed.
  • Provide information to customers about prescription medications, including dosage instructions, potential side effects, and interactions.
  • Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide receipts to customers.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from customers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing prescriptions, updating patient records, and managing pharmacy documents.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, privacy laws, and health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy team members to provide excellent customer service and support the efficient operation of the pharmacy.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers and healthcare professionals in a professional manner.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions and handling medications.
  • Basic math skills for calculating doses, prices, and discounts.
