Job Purpose –  As Product Owner – Business Banking at Emirates NBD, your role is to

  • Lead the development and execution of the digital lending product strategy for SMEs, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product features, prioritize backlog, and ensure timely delivery in line with agile practices.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape within the SME lending domain.
  • Utilize your expertise to create and maintain a roadmap for continuous product enhancement, ensuring a competitive edge in the market.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and define requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of business goals and user needs.
  • Champion the agile methodology, facilitating effective communication and collaboration between development teams, stakeholders, and other relevant departments.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the digital lending products and identify areas for improvement.
  • Entail conceptualizing and executing the strategic agenda for the business, with the purpose of maximizing growth, market share & profitability for the segment. To work with the IT agile squad that will contribute towards the development of the digital proposition, while working in collaboration with various functional stakeholders
  • Bring Customer Perspective and be the voice of Customer

Responsibilities –

  • Responsible for driving the development and rollout of a disruptive digital proposition for SME customers acquisition under the guidance of Head of Product & Services.
  • Responsible for maximizing delivered value by defining the Minimal Viable Product (MVP) and ensuring early value delivery
  • Coordinate with different business units, i.e. Technology, Product Development, and Operations to enhance service offering on channels and operational procedures
  • Work under the guidance of Head of Product & Services E20. To develop MVP roadmap for the new digital business bank 
  • Collaborate with Digital Innovations team to find right 3rd party solutions/partners for enhancing the product features
  • Identify, propose and implement improved processes and procedures to ensure that the team delivers quality and efficient services to internal and external customers.
  • Help assign demand to agile teams and define the setup within the business unit tribe

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience…

  • Proven track record of successful product ownership, from concept to delivery, in a financial institution or related industry 
  • Proven experience in digital lending, specifically within the SME segment.
  • Tertiary education / preferably post graduate qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills, structured thinking and problem  solving skills to direct a squad toward the right decisions
  • Good understanding of digital technologies, Jira or other agile delivery tools 
  • Knowledge of User research methodologies, User testing
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience in leading agile product development teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
