Job Description

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Principal duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following which indicates the general nature of work expected
  • Repair and maintenance of all types of refrigeration equipment such as walk in cold-room and freezer rooms and other commercial/industrial refrigeration equipment
  • Carries out refrigeration preventive and routine maintenance. Attends to repairs and maintenance of refrigeration equipment electrical control system
  • Responds to a guest’s maintenance request within 15 minutes of receipt of the same
  • Ensure that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair. Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a guestroom or public areas
  • Ensures that the plant rooms, workshops and related areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Observes prescribed safety standards. Helps maintain safe conditions for self and others
  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
  • Interacts with other departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions and festivities.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Diploma or apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical 
  • Previous resort experience in the same role within a luxury hospitality environment is preferred  
  • Ability to solve engineering problems using appropriate theoretical and practical engineering principles.
