ABOUT THE ROLE

The role is responsible for delivering overall revenue targets of online channels while keeping profitability
concerns in mind. Alert and inform the Revenue team of new online distribution market trends, and new releases from online partners. Recommend promotional activities along with terms and conditions for the distribution of rooms online.

ABOUT THE FUNCTION

The distribution function for Emaar aims towards optimizing hotel(s) revenues and profitability from online
channels by managing qualified business partners. In line with goals and strategies defined by the function head,online channel management covers distribution system setup, opportunities qualification, promotional activities and optimal hotel display and ranking on online point of sales.

PERFORMANCE DRIVEN CULTURE: WHAT WILL YOU BE MEASURED AGAINST

  • Financial – Ensure rate parity between third party partners and between direct channels, ensuring direct
    channels have at least same or lower rates than third party partners. Recommend promotional activities
    along with terms and conditions for distribution of rooms online. Ensure Hotel content are always up to date and reflect brand standards. Forecast the monthly spending and send the accruals file to the finance team.
  • Operational – Train e-distribution team on system understanding and related operations. Coordinate with
    reservation team, rate code creation process for Web Booking Engine usage and with Revenue management team for positioning of the same. Constantly review task processes and team productivity in ensuring that work standards are consistently met.
  • Leadership – Be responsible for achieving the results. Develops talents within the department. Facilitate On the Job training programs, cross exposure and cross trainings. Ensure the team is trained and up to the mark on a continuous basis with respect to knowledge of the field, SOP, quality targets, and KPIs.

QUALIFICATION

• Preferable Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality management or business/economics
• Minimum 3 years experience in the hotel distribution field
• Track records of successful online account management (Online Travel Agents and Connected
Wholesalers) and online systems vendor
• Strong systematic approach to problem-solving
• Result oriented and up-to-date on the latest distribution trends
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint
• Strong command of commission processing and contracting along with the related impact on channel
profitability and related yield strategies
