Function: Sales & Marketing

Department: General Sales

Role: The role is responsible for driving revenues and resources to achieve and exceed targets for the role holder’s segment or specialist area. Ensures that Emaar Hospitality Group is accurately represented in the assigned market segment or specialist area, and that the brand image, products and services are effectively communicated and maintained at all levels, generating the desired results both in bookings and in revenues. To be responsible for establishing and directing the marketing and sales activities of the company including advertising and public relations.


The Sales function for Emaar aims towards increasing hotel(s) occupancies and revenues by managing qualified business partners. In line with goals and strategies defined by the function head, business partners management covers opportunities qualification, contracting, promotional activities and hotel product awareness.


  • Sales Strategy and Execution – Lead the implementation a segment-specific business development strategy that maximises business opportunities within the segment, supports the achievement of the EHG annual sales objectives, and builds sustainable relationships with corporate and individual clients. Review adherence to the strategy and take corrective action to ensure alignment. Monitor the implementation the business development plan on a continuous basis, make appropriate decisions to correct deviation from plan and guide the sales executives to respond effectively and quickly to any change in business environment.   • Area Director of Revenue to create and implement a business development plan that addresses revenue requirements, customer expectations and market competitiveness for the segment or specialist area.
  • Sales Operation – Implement and communicate EHG sales policies, systems, processes and procedures to ensure the consistent application and ease of sales operations. Establish and maintain accounting procedures for the purpose of keeping monthly and year-to-date total room night production for each individual company by property utilizing proper tracking tools and templates
  • Brand and Product Development – Contribute to the development of the product concept and pricing and decide on policy matters such as marketing approach, target segments, product mix and packaging in conjunction with other Directors of Sales. Contribute ideas on product differentiation, brief the GM and Executive Team on market changes, competitor activities and recommend changes in strategy to respond to changing conditions.
  • Customer and Client Relationship – Initiate contact with all prospective member companies, as identified through direct sales program and existing database. Plan promotional events, such as road shows, gala dinners, and award nights, to develop networking with corporate and high net worth potential customers who can be captured as revenue generating customers. Manage the after sales service relating to gather feedback on customer satisfaction, build customer relations and act on customer feedback.
  • Brand Management and Marketing – Oversee the development of a global product brand strategy across all EHG brands to ensuring that EHG is appropriately positioned within its chosen markets. Design, develop and continuously review EHG, cluster and property brand standards and guidelines that ensure that a consistent brand message is delivered regardless of communication or media channel used. Own and manage all trademarks for EHG and brands, in liaison with EHG Legal. Monitor strategies of measuring campaign success in order to measure ROI on brand marketing activities for all businesses. Review cluster marketing plans and budgets together with the Assistant Director of Marketing to ensure consistency with EHG brand standards, guidelines and core messages. Guide and direct the brand marketing activities that support new venture openings and re-launches.

  • Minimum 3 years in a sales managerial role or 1 year as sales department head
  • Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management or Business related field
  • Understanding of department P&L and expense budget exercise
  • Ability to analyze accounts and people performance leading to impactful actions
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills (written and oral)
