Position Summary

Consumer & Market Insights Part’s mission is to contribute to the business decision making by deriving insight from the market and consumer data. In this role, CMI Senior Specialist is to provide actionable insights and recommendations that enhance our services, and marketing strategies, to grow sales and help Samsung maintain its position as a leading Regional brand in MENA.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Supporting CMI team to deliver RHQ research projects with full responsibility, accountability, and ownership.
  • Coordinate and align among subsidiary CMI teams for regional and global projects in alignment with HQ
  • Delivering business analysis and business and marketing reports on monthly/weekly basis aligned with business objectives / issues providing insight and recommendations tackling them
  • Derive and apply insights on consumer behaviour, perception by analysing and interpreting quantitative data from various sources surveys, secondary research report, social listening and by using statistical knowledge.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, agencies to address insights needs. Further the impact by unlocking the story behind the data and numbers.
  • Working with the teams on key projects, aimed to reflect the consumer voice in any deliverable and meeting, by proactively identifying consumer and market trends, and using these to deliver tactical opportunities for the business.
  • Leveraging existing data and data tools analyse and provide insights and recommendations. Marry data points to build a macro picture of the business
  • Encouraging fact based decision making by providing reports, analysis and recommendation to support CMI mindset

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in market A to Z market research processes, analysing data, and interpreting output to provide meaningful insights.
  • Solid understanding of various qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and be able to choose the most appropriate approach for a given project.
  • Ability to think critically is crucial for deducing research findings, generating relevant insights, and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Having strong command on data visualization tools & techniques to create compelling reports and presentation that effectively communicate research findings. Hand-on experience on analysis and data visualization and social listening tools (Sprinklr, SPSS, Tableau, Power BI, GWI)   will be an asset
  • Adept at integrating diverse data sets to develop a holistic view of business with a proven record at problem solving based on data analysis, and consequently recommended actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for presenting results and recommendations to stakeholders 
  • Experienced in navigating through complex organization and team structure, with proven ability to drive projects through influencing peers and senior stakeholders.
  • Understand key marketing principles and concepts such as brand strategy, portfolio and STP ( Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning).
  • Team-player with strong engagement, storytelling and presentation skills 
  • Adapting to changing priorities and market conditions, adjusting research plans and approaches as needed
  • Business experience MENA markets inclusive of Turkey, Pakistan and Arab countries
  • 3-5 years of experience in market research, consumer insights in FMCG / Telecom / Technology
  • Bachelor degree in sociology, mathematics, statistics, science or engineering.
  • Fluent in English. Arabic preferred
