About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join the F&B Department in Zabeel House by Jumeirah™, The Greens. The main purpose of the role is to assist the Outlet Manager to plan, organize and supervise all processes of the outlet and provides hands-on support to food and beverage colleagues to ensure the outlet provides quality service that is consistent with the SBUs Standard Operating Procedures and achieves maximum revenue and profit in line with budgeted and forecasted projections.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:   

  • Ensures that all colleagues’ activities adhere to and support the Company International Quality Management System.
  • Provides hands-on support and assistance to colleagues to ensure highest levels of service and courtesy are provided to guests.
  • Conducts team briefings, meetings, and training as directed by Management.
  • Assists management to maintain departmental Standard Operating Procedures and ensures that all colleagues have a working knowledge and follow the SOPs all at all times.
  • Ensures that an effective link is maintained between kitchen and service areas.
  • Supervises the level, consistency, and quality of table and/ or counter service of all menu items.
  • Ensures that all colleagues adhere to all food hygiene regulations and procedures.
  • Consistently monitors quality of food and beverages being served and service quality, escalating any major problems/ complaints to Management.
  • Actively promotes the use of up selling techniques within outlet to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue.
  • Provides specialist advice to customers and colleagues on food and beverages.
  • Supervises all aspects of food and beverage quality, service and hygiene and escalates concerns to Management.
  • In absence of an Outlet Manager or Assistant Outlet Manager takes responsibility of operational issues. 
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

About You:

 The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Have worked as a Supervisor in a restaurant and bar preferably in a life style concept
  • Minimum of two years’ experience
  • Proven track record in training and developing staff
  • Knowledge in cashiering procedures
  • Pleasing and out-going personality
  • Good command of English (both written & spoken)
  • Minimum High School Graduate or Diploma in Hospitality
  • Knowledge in beverage and cocktails
  • Certified in wines and spirits
